WoodenBoat Publications was founded with WoodenBoat magazine in 1974. Today, WoodenBoat Publications includes WoodenBoat, Small Boats Nation (previously Small Boats Monthly), Mastering Skills, WoodenBoat School, WoodenBoat Show, and WoodenBoat Store. (Professional BoatBuilder was acquired by IBEX, the International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition & Conference in November 2024.)
WoodenBoat School Website Redesign
In 2022, I played a key role in managing the website redesign for the WoodenBoat School, collaborating closely with developers, overseeing content strategy and copywriting, and leading the creation of new features such as improved search functionality and categorization of course offerings, expanded student resources, and detailed instructor bios to enhance user experience.
Email Marketing
From 2020-2022, I oversaw the creation and distribution of weekly newsletters for WoodenBoat magazine and managed monthly newsletters and new issue announcements for Small Boats Monthly, Professional BoatBuilder, and Mastering Skills. Responsibilities included content planning, layout design, and photo editing to maintain brand consistency and reader engagement.
